The preparatory meeting for the 2020 Evaluation of the EPLENEA was successfully held

  On May 20, the preparatory meeting for the 2020 Evaluation of the Key Laboratory of Northeast Asia Biological Evolution and Environment of the Ministry of Education was held in the lecture Hall of the Third Floor, Research Center of Paleontology and Stratigraphy, Chaoyang Campus. A total of 13 leaders and members from the laboratory of Science and Technology Department, School of Earth Sciences, Paleontology and Stratigraphy Research Center, School of Life Sciences and School of Archaeology of Jilin University attended the meeting. Professor Sun Yuewu, deputy director of the laboratory, presided over the meeting.
  Chen Yujiang, deputy director of the scientific research platform in the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Professor Sun Chunlin, member of the academic Committee of the laboratory, introduced the last round of evaluation process and results. Professor Sun Yuewu, deputy director of the laboratory, summarized and reported the work of the key laboratory for five years and arranged the evaluation work. Professor Shan Xuanlong, dean of The School of Earth Sciences, attaches great importance to the laboratory evaluation work, and the school has listed the laboratory evaluation as the key work in 2020.Prof. Wang Pujun, Prof. Zhang Quanchao, Prof. Cui Yinqiu, And Prof. Yang Debin and Prof. Meng Qingtao, deputy directors of the Laboratory, respectively introduced the research progress and important achievements of each research direction in the past five years. The main members of the laboratory had a heated discussion on the evaluation, future development and construction of the laboratory, and set up a leading group and a working group to welcome the evaluation, which provided an organizational guarantee for the smooth progress of the evaluation.
  The meeting was held during the COVID-19 epidemic. The laboratory sterilized the meeting place in advance, and each participant was equipped with a lab coat and a mask. All participants kept a safe distance during the meeting.
